Bunny Colby: New Name, Same Lover of Cats
Honey-haired adult star Nadya Nabakova has changed her name to Bunny Colby, which is easier to say.
The Eastern European performer underwent a reinvention at the end of 2018 after only a year working in the adult space. The rebrand is fresh for 2019, and Colby hopes to make it a great one. To these ends, Colby is also now self-booking, has opened a new Pornhub account and just filmed two new scenes for Girlfriends Films. This is all in addition to camming, OnlyFans and maintaining a premium Snapchat via FanCentro.
When considering Colby’s existing body of work, we got to wondering — with credits that include Naughty America, Vixen, Devil’s Film, Cherry Pimps, Teen Fidelity and Kink.com, it seems like an odd time to change one’s identity. Colby, however, is hoping to keep working for as many companies as she can and feels this is a strategic way to do so.
Bunny Colby took some time out to speak with YNOT about her name change and what she is hoping to hop into for 2019.
YNOT: Why the “reinvention”? Regardless of all the amazing stuff coming for you, couldn’t you have merely moved forward as Nadya Nabakova?
Bunny Colby: While I could have possibly continued my career under my previous stage name, yes, I chose to let go and move on from the first year of my career… moving on from old name, included. I pretty much took a clean break all around.
Did you find that in the adult entertainment business a reinvention is hard to pull off? How have you found it affecting your business, positively or negatively? Or is it too early to tell?
I think it’s still a bit early to tell. It took a minute for people to realize who I was, that I already had scenes out, etc. But it’s easy to find me, just as much now as from before. People are seeing the great work I’m doing and have done, and the response so far has been wonderful. My name might have changed, but it’s still me!
And, most people seem grateful for an easier-to-pronounce name, as well.

What are the positives of self-booking?
Self-booking is personally great for me. I love having more flexibility and involvement in every part of my career, and being in charge as I am now gives me this. I’ve worked for the government and even worked as an office manager scheduling tons of appointments, so I’m used to being a responsible, in charge, adult… Now I can apply those booking skills to what I do in adult career.
The negatives?
The cons to self-booking seem to just be getting your foot in the door, as agents have direct lines of contact and promotion that may not exist for people early in their career. Getting the right connections in this industry, as with any other, is very important or getting some scenes under your belt to get your name out really goes a long way to offset this. But I will keep booking gigs that work best for me, make my fans happy and continue building my resume.
How do you know what social media to get into?
As in most things in life, you see what all the successful people are doing and do that, too. There’s lots to learn by just keeping your eyes open and taking in all that you can about any business you are in. Adult work is no different.
For your brand, what changes are you hoping for with the name change specifically for the business end of things?
I’m just looking to restart my career with a new name and a new image.
And also, you need to keep loving those kitties well into 2019 and beyond, right?
Yes, as always, I need to keep up with lots more posts of my two floofy babies.
FYI: So you know, when not on set, Bunny-who-used-to-be-Nadya spends most of her time with her cats or volunteering her time at a pet rescue.
Went to a cat show. Nose won’t stop running. Still worth it. pic.twitter.com/zKwUKUeuH3
