Motley Crue Strip Club Burns, Burns, Burns
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Those girls, girls, girls with their long legs and burgundy lips used to dance down on Sunset Strip – but no more. As of 6:46 am today, the strip club that helped inspire one of Motley Crue’s most popular tunes wasn’t just hot, it was a smoldering cinder of its previous self.According to the Associated Press, a call to the Los Angeles County Fire Department was made early this morning to report that the one-story Sunset Boulevard club was ablaze.
No one is believed to have been in the building at the time that the fire burned its way through The Body Shop’s roof and officials are investigating what caused the conflagration.
Fire inspector Frank Garrido told the press that the flames were primarily focused on the landmark West Hollywood building’s attic. One firefighter suffered a slight injury during the hour invested in quelling the blaze.
Opened during the 1960s, The Body Shop billed itself as Los Angeles’ longest lived strip club and earned indirect mention in the often danced-to 1980’s Motley Crue musical homage to exotic dance clubs, Girls, Girls, Girls.
