Monthly Fetish Rolls Out Sex Toy Issue
Monthly Fetish has rolled out their new issue, and this time the theme is sex toys. The diverse online magazine also welcomes Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals as a contributor.
Sex toys have been around since 28,000 B.C. They’re fun—really fun, and they’re one of the most common fetishes for men and women around the world—the Featured Fetish explains this in detail. Fetish in Technology looks at how sex toys have also gone high tech, and phone apps have the power to pleasure. Mark Dion and his Marine Invertebrates’ exhibit with sex toys are featured in the Art of Fetish. Fetish 101 covers why you need more sex toys in your life and Fetish in the News is all about Amber Rose dishing on sex toys, chewing gum, and the perfect date night.
This month’s Unbound Interview profiles Bad Dragon, creator of toys that bring fantasy to life. If you’re unfamiliar with them, you’ll be an aficionado once you read the article. Bad Dragon discusses why design and quality control are so important to them, where to buy their products, why their toys appeal to everyone, how to customize their toys, and much more. The interview includes amazing photos of their exquisite toys.
Site visitors will notice a brand-new column called Ask the Doctor. Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals, a sociologist, specializing in gender, sexualities, work and organizations, media and technology, and popular culture, as well as a published author and go-to for cultural and news media. She’s also Monthly Fetish’s new contributor and expert, who will be answering your questions, as well as contributing articles. Her first article is entitled “The Thin Line Between Fetish – or Not…” covers what a fetish is and social norms.
“On a societal level, we have so many hang-ups and anxieties about sex – and many of those beliefs are tied directly into social norms and our perceptions thereof. In truth, as long as consent is present, there is no such thing as ‘normal’ or ‘ordinary’ sexual behavior,” Dr. Tibbals explains. “With this in mind, I’m excited to be contributing to ‘Monthly Fetish’ – the opportunity to discuss social constructions that surround our perceived norms about sex is invaluable and has the capacity for positive social impact.”
“We’re excited to have Dr. Tibbals as a contributor,” says Editor Jenn. “She adds a new perspective and expert knowledge to our magazine. Her first column is brilliant, and we can’t wait to see what she pens for next month.”
