MojoHost Grows, Hires Scott Walley for Customer Care
YNOT – MojoHost has appointed industry veteran Scott “Scooter” Walley to the position of customer care representative. Starting immediately, Walley will provide hands-on assistance to both new and established MojoHost customers as they expand or improve their businesses.
With more than 10 years’ adult industry experience, Walley cut his teeth creating thumbnail gallery posts and link lists, but soon learned the ins and outs of traffic trading, a skill he later transferred to affiliate program management. He spent the past six years with live-cam network CamWorld, where he worked his way up to vice president of marketing.
“I am very happy for Scott’s mainstream opportunity in hosting and technology with MojoHost, with whom we trust our entire IT infrastructure,” said CamWorld founder Dan Hogue. “Because [Walley’s move is] from my family to Brad’s, I am very excited for all parties, personally and professionally.”
According to MojoHost President Brad Mitchell, Walley brings an exceptional reputation to a company for which reputation means everything. Mitchell said Walley’s “wealth of experience and genuine nature” will benefit him in a position that requires much more than mere salesmanship.
“Things are a bit different here” than they are at other companies, Mitchell said. “With 10 years of experience and a stellar reputation for honesty and integrity, Scott is exactly the person to compliment my efforts by fielding new client inquiries and helping established customers with their upgrades. MojoHost has seen excellent growth, and I have been stretched to my limits. Now, with Scott’s assistance, we can keep up with the constant demand for new services.
“This is really a unique addition for me,” Mitchell added. “While we have a very large ‘technical support’ staff which services our customers, this is the first time I’m helping myself to build an administrative support team. I might be my own harshest critic, but I’ve literally been the weak link without previously staffing someone else to help me with sales activity. It could be said that insofar as new client relationships go, I’ve been an army of one up until now — all 450 customers had to make it through me, personally, first.”
Mitchell said he will continue to focus on building a back-office team in sales and administration. In addition to Walley, MojoHost recently added a staff accountant.
“While most companies struggle to find potential new clients, ours has been a unique challenge of constant request for service and not enough hours in my day to help everyone,” he said.
Walley said he is glad to be part of a growing team.
“I look forward to making my mark on the hosting space with its clear market leader, MojoHost,” he said. “MojoHost innovates, and I look forward to the challenges of my new position.”
