MojoHost Acquires Competitor, Increases CDN Product Speed
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – MojoHost, a privately owned hosting services provider, acquired all assets and customers belonging to competing hosting provider Colo-Cation, the company announced Monday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited to have Colo-Cation’s customers already migrated to MojoHost’s Miami datacenter and Michigan support team,” MojoHost Chief Executive Officer Brad Mitchell said. “Colo-Cation’s rich reputation for service the last dozen years makes it an excellent fit with our organization.
“I was elated to receive the phone call from Chris Davies about the opportunity,” Mitchell continued. “Mr. Davies has stellar integrity, and we were flattered with his choice of MojoHost as the best future home to entrust his beloved customers to.”
Mitchell said technical Colo-Cation’s daily operations already have been assumed by MojoHost; billing and other details will be integrated within “the coming weeks.” Former Colo-Cation clients should continue to use established support channels, but may call 888-345-6656 for toll-free telephone support.
Also on Monday, MojoHost released a new version of its SendFaster product. Mitchell described SendFaster as “a budget-friendly alternative to content-delivery networks.” The update increased download speeds for end-users without increasing the product’s price, he said.
The company plans to demonstrate SendFaster’s new version from 11 a.m. until noon Sept. 21 during Webmaster Access in Amsterdam. Attendees may schedule private demonstrations by contacting Scott Walley.
“We here at MojoHost are always looking for ways in which to improve our service offerings,” Mitchell said. “With the growing success of our CDN alternative SendFaster, we’ve managed to increase the delivery of content, making this preexisting product even better than ever.”
