MiKandi to Conduct App Workshop During Internext
YNOT – Representatives of adult mobile application marketplace MiKandi will conduct a workshop during Internext with the goal of bridging the gap between app developers and adult content producers. The event is believed to be the first of its kind to take place at an adult industry tradeshow.
According to promotional material, the special session will provide guidance about engaging essential partners in the app-development process and should appeal to “anyone interested in extending the reach of their content onto mobile networks.”
MiKandi works with content producers and app developers to help create and then market adult mobile applications. As the middleman in the burgeoning arena, MiKandi staffers understand the needs of both groups, a company spokeswoman said.
“At MiKandi we hear both sides of the conversation,” said co-founder Jenn McEwen. “Content providers are anxious to find developers but are unsure where to start, and developers are looking for quality content to include in their applications. As an app store, we’re in a position to help bridge that gap, as well as provide unique insights on consumer behavior, monetization methods and market trends. MiKandi is excited to help adult brands navigate through the ever-evolving mobile landscape and provide consumers the very best mobile experience for adults.”
Because MiKandi staffers have reached out to their contacts in the developer community, the session is expected to be an educational experience as well as an opportunity to engage in direct networking.
The Content Producer/App Developer Workshop is schedule to take place from 3-4 p.m. Jan. 9. Workshop leaders include Jesse Adams, co-founder and president of MiKandi; Saurav Chattopadhyay, also a MiKandi co-founder and the head of the server team, and Christopher Lewicki, the company’s chief software architect.
Internext will take place Jan. 8-10 at The Venetian Hotel Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. For more information, visit Internext-Expo.com.
