Michael Klein Leaves Hustler for Docler
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Michael H. Klein, who transformed Larry Flynt’s Hustler empire from magazine publishing company to broadcasting powerhouse, has left the company to head an American division of multinational entertainment conglomerate Docler Holding.
Among other properties, Docler owns Jasmin.com, JasminTV.com, and Jasmin.TV.
Klein will serve as president of Docler Media, a wholly owned subsidiary focused on broadcasting, entertainment, and “cutting-edge internet experiences.” He is tasked with managing the company’s worldwide expansion. In addition, he will oversee the expansion of independent Jasmin agencies across the U.S., negotiating white-label deals for Jasmin’s adult affiliate program, and working on retail and licensing deals for its brands.
“Michael has been a leader in the entertainment industry for decades, and his expertise will help Docler Media achieve its ambitious goals in entertainment,” said Karoly Papp, chief executive officer for the parent company. “His experience will be essential in advancing our media-related innovations and accelerating our global growth agenda in the mainstream and adult industries.”
In early 2015, Docler Media launched the first of its new internet-based channels. Others in development include special-interest destinations for music and gaming.
“I have developed and implemented programming strategies for leading companies in the entertainment field, and I have consistently improved their profit margins,” Klein said.
He will assume his new position May 26.
