YNOT – Transsexual adult performer Mia Isabella is without doubt one of the world’s most beautiful T-girls — and one of the most successful, as well. In recent months, she’s gone from success to success while demonstrating just how much more than simply “passable” a T-girl can be.

YNOT.com caught up with her recently to discuss “passing,” industry awards and her new toy line.

YNOT.com: 2011 has been a winning year for you, hasn’t it?
Mia Isabella: It’s been so amazing. I did not expect to win anything at the XBIZ Awards this past year, and to have won both Performer of The Year and Best Alternative Toy Line was shocking. Then I was named Transsexual Performer of The Year by the Urban X Awards in July. I feel so honored to be able to hold those titles this year.

Your signature toy line is produced and marketed by Pipedream Products. What does it include?
Lots! Mia Isabella’s Big Secret Deluxe Love Doll, Mia Isabella’s Personal Lubricant, Mia Isabella’s Digital Power Pump and Mia Isabella’s Beginner TS Love Doll, to name a few items.

Did you play a role in designing your toys? How important were realism and quality during the design and manufacturing process?
During our initial meetings the team and I discussed many different ideas, and from those ideas the best concepts were brought to life. We made sure every item was molded and life-like in every way — and the quality is amazing.

I can see for sure why the success has been so huge. The line is already available around the world and winning awards. I couldn’t be happier, and I want to thank everyone involved for making that dream of mine become a reality.

You certainly are beautiful enough to completely pass in mainstream porn — except, perhaps, for one small detail. How are you targeting the broader market, and how is that working for you?
I have been offered the opportunity on many occasions to work with some beautiful women in the mainstream world of porn. In this past year I decided to take the plunge, and the few scenes I have done received amazing response. There are still some unreleased projects that will come out in 2012 that I am sure many will enjoy.

I have no specific marketing plan. I’m just taking the best projects as they come and hoping everyone will love them.

Do T-girls appeal to the mainstream porn fan?
I would say so, as all of our products are sold in the same places all other mainstream products are. The past five years alone have shown a significant increase in marketability, as I’ve seen from the SMC [Productions] contract girls alone. There are so many of us doing crossover projects like toy lines, working with mainstream actors and actresses, and being accepted in mainstream media outlets.

What are your long-term goals? Where do you hope to end up in your career?
My long-term goals are more of a personal nature and outside of the industry; however, I can say that these past few years I’ve exceeded my wildest dreams in regards to my career, and I hope I continue to be a trendsetter.
