Mercedes Carrera, Daemon Cins Arrested on Child Sex Abuse Charges
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Adult performer Mercedes Carrera (AKA Melinda Smith) and her associate/producing partner Daemon Cins (AKA Jason Whitney) were charged yesterday with eight counts of sexually abusing a child under the age of 10 on Wednesday, as well as one count of possession of a controlled substance while armed with a handgun.
In early media reports, Whitney’s performing name was misidentified as “Jay Allan.”
According to CBSLA, detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga police department said they were first alerted to the alleged sexual abuse of a girl under 10 on January 31. They also said the girl was repeatedly sexually abused by Whitney and Smith over the course of four months.
Last Friday, a search warrant was served upon Smith and Whitney’s home. In the course of their search, investigators said they found evidence which corroborated a statement given by the girl, a room set for recoding videos or web shows, an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and two loaded handguns.
Smith and Whitney reportedly have been denied bail and remain in custody. They are scheduled to make their first appearance in court today.
