Matt Slayer’s ‘And Now We Drink’ Announces Site Relaunch
And Now We Drink host Matt Slayer announced that, after nearly eight years online, the iconic podcast’s official website has gotten an extensive makeover.
And Now We Drink is like “the conversation at the end of the bar” featuring your favorite writers, comedians, musicians, actors and adult film stars. No topic is off-limits as Slayer and his guests delve into their personal experiences, sharing shameless stories and their unique perspectives on sex, relationships, and life.
“The show has come a long way in eight years from its humble beginnings,” said Slayer, who has hosted the podcast solo since late 2017.
“When the show first started, I had spent my whole entertainment career behind the scenes. I was playing second fiddle for sure, but by the time Annie Cruz decided to move on to other projects, I feel like I had fully come into my own as a host.”
With Slayer at the helm, And Now We Drink has earned multiple award nominations, as well as praise from corners as far flung as the sex worker community, to journalist/Tokyo Vice author Jake Adelstein, who called the show one of the most “interesting and fun podcasts around,” adding that “despite looking like he should be scalping tickets as a KISS concert, [Slayer] is a funny and compassionate interviewer. Very informative not only about sex work, but the podcast also gives you a real sense of the people he’s interviewing.”
Slayer explained his desire for a site revamp beyond mere functional improvements: “With all the upgrades to the look and feel of the show in recent memory, the last remnant of the distant past was the website. The Media Studios brilliantly helped bring my vision for a new and improved website to life.”
