Mary Carey Demands Time on Jay Leno — and Gel Implants Set to Return to Canada
CALIFORNIA & CANADA — In what is surely a big breast related coincidence, porn princess turned political aspirant Mary Carey has joined Phil Angelides in demanding that comedian and NBC The Tonight Show host Jay Leno give her time on his program to discuss her upcoming California gubernatorial campaign. At issue for both Democrat Angelides and now-Independent Carey is a recent appearance by current California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on the Republican-friendly Leno’s program earlier this month. Schwarzenegger is hoping to serve a second term in office.
Although Angelides registered his desire to have some air time prior to Carey’s Friday request, the performer contends that she has even more of a right to sit with Leno than does her fellow contender for office. “More people know that I am running for governor than Arnold’s Democratic challenger,” she explained, going on to say that “Our polling results have shown my name to be more recognizable than any other candidate in the race.”
So far Leno’s people have denied write-in candidate Carey her additional 15 minutes of fame in spite of her contention that a Google search puts her name to the top, something she claims is proof of her power at the polls. The infamously bland Angelides has also been told “no.”
Carey, who ran for the office in 2003 with surprisingly good returns, contends that “I just don’t think it’s fair of Jay to have his friend Arnie on and not me. I think Jay would really like me once he got a chance to meet me. And I’d be a better interview since I’m much cuter and speak better English.”
Carey isn’t counting on her superior language skills winning her this race, however. In order to be in prime fighting condition for the political battle ahead, she dropped weight, had her teeth worked on, and pumped up her already impressive natural breasts with implants, thus losing her high profile within the Kick Ass Pictures pantheon of all-natural performers.
Canadian women with no interest in working for Kick Ass Pictures, will soon have the option of enhancing their bust measurements with silicone breast implants, after Health Canada lifted restrictions on their marketing within the country. Inamed Corporation and Mentor Medical Systems were recently granted Class IV licenses for the products, previously only available within Canada via a special access program.
After silicone implants were pulled from shelves after class action lawsuits concerning a possible connection between leaks and auto-immune diseases and heart conditions, only saline filled breasts implants were licensed for sale in Canada.
Health Canada’s Dr. Supriya Sharma told CTV Newsnet that “There have been a number of changes that have happened since the early ’90s in terms of manufacturing,” which, along with the review of 65,000 pages of evidence on the issue from manufacturers and 2,500 independent studies, led the agency to its decision. Among other changes, Sharma says that “The gel that’s actually inside the breast implants is much thicker, more cohesive; that layers outside the breast implant are thicker. So we believe that it’s actually a safer product than it was back in the 1990s.”
However, the agency has imposed a number of conditions for the sale and distribution of the products. Manufacturers must provide continual upgrades on long-term clinical test result a decade, must both conduct tests and report their findings on at least two patient groups, conduct a long-term study within a year involving a large number of women, and poll Canadian plastic surgeons in order to better understand why some implants fail.
Story Update:Due to critical injuries sustained by Jaqueline Cook, Carey’s mother, the adult performer has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming gubernatorial race. “As much as I want to help the state of California be a better place , I think it is more important to be with my mom and help her,” the 26-year-old candidate stated.
Carey’s mother, Jaqueline Cook, is currently in critical condition after a recent accident in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.. After a strenuous month of flying back and forth to Florida to see her mom, Carey said that she has decided to stop campaigning to be by her mother’s side in Florida for an upcoming surgery. Carey has spent the past month flying from California to Florida, in order to be with her mother, who has been a guest on the Howard Stern Show and Mancow’s Morning Madhouse, among other radio programs.
“I am only 26 and have many more years to be involved in politics, but right now I must be in Florida with my mom,” Carey observed, asking that her supporters please pray for the healthy recovery of her mother.
