Manhunt Un-tethers Gay Hookups from the Desktop
YNOT – Manhunt this week unveiled a mobilized version of its popular gay hookup site. The new Manhunt Mobile operates via a web-based app and therefore is not subject to adult content restrictions imposed by Apple’s App Store and Google’s Android Market.
Manhunt Mobile is a touch-screen version of Manhunt.net, allowing mobile users complete access to the uncensored profiles of more than six million Manhunt members worldwide. Using a mobile device’s onboard browser, the site engages the device’s GPS service to display nearby guys. All the features Manhunt members have come to expect from the desktop site now are available on the go.
“The all-new Manhunt Mobile delivers all your favorite Manhunt features, including uncensored profile pics, wherever you are,” said Adam Segel, chief executive officer of Manhunt’s parent company, Online Buddies. “Regardless of what device they use, guys can access and communicate with all six million Manhunt members across platforms. Everything you need to find guys nearby, make new friends, get a date or hook up instantly is on your phone right now.”
Manhunt Mobile currently is available on iPhone, iPad and most Android devices. Those using an iOS device from Apple must employ iOS 4.0 or higher. Android users must use 2.2 (Froyo) or higher. iPhone and iPod Touch members may access Manhunt Mobile in a single tap by adding the site to their home screen in Safari. Simply open Manhunt in Safari and tap the arrow icon > Add to Home Screen > Add.
