Making Performers’ Private Lives Public
YNOT – OpenLife, a new network in the Gamma Entertainment family of companies, has launched its flagship website.
OpenLife.com serves as more than a repository for some of the best scenes from the network’s component sites, which include LaneSisters.com, ClubAmyLee.com and Kevin30Seconds.com. Visitors will recognize some similarities between the flagship and more traditional “reality” or solo-girl network sites, but in the main, OpenLife intends to fire up a new take on “reality porn” by presenting not only unscripted hardcore action but also slices from the everyday lives of the featured performers.
Of course, the term “everyday” is a bit misleading, as few of the performers participating in the OpenLife project live lives most observers would consider commonplace. OpenLife’s creators were careful to select participants who revel in pushing envelopes of all types, all day long.
“OpenLife is a new breed of adult entertainment,” said founder and adult industry veteran Claude Hyppolite. “Not only do you get to see gorgeous performers do what they do best, but you [also] get to know them on a personal level. Cameras are following these girls all day long on and off set.”
According to Guillaume Boisvert, product director for the project, the network represents a logical, if largely overlooked, core truth about the relationship between fans and adult content.
“Personality is a part of our industry that cannot be pirated,” he said. “Surfers grow attached to our performers for who they are. Nothing compares to letting your fans feel like they have backstage passes to their favorite performer’s [personal] life.”
OpenLife already has drawn significant attention, thanks to the participation of brand-name stars like Tera Patrick and Kelly Summers. The challenge, according to Hyppolite, was in determining how to organize the content so viewers could find the material most in line with their personal tastes.
“There’s something for everybody in the network,” he said. “The exclusive content falls under three categories; Raw, Real and Signature. OpenLife Raw is hardcore, whereas Signature is more sensual and erotic. OpenLife Real is our most unique content: It is where you can see the performers in their homes, driving luxury cars, shooting guns and everything in between. It is a thrilling window to their personalities.”
The network’s affiliate program pays up to 50-percent recurring revenue share or as much as $30 per sale. Promotional materials include social-media-friendly content, RSS feeds and interactive tools. Like all other Gamma-managed programs, OpenLife’s affiliate program will provide customized collateral upon request.
