MaddyGTV: Proving the Power of Social Networking
YNOT – Maddy G Productions partners Marie Madison and Mark Audess have launched a website they said is a testament to the power of social networking. Strictly softcore and formatted to resemble a premium cable television channel, MaddyGTV.com attracted more than 3,000 unique viewers daily within the first 30 days, Madison said, all gathered through fans’ word of mouth and blurbs spread by her social-network contacts.The website is free and offers viewers original material from Maddy G Productions. New programming appears weekly on Wednesdays. Recent features included Episode 3 of Regarding Jenny, the one-hour season finale of The Agency and the full-length indie comedy film Virgin Pockets. Halloween week programming includes the full-length indie horror flick Day of the Ax, and erotic short called Jenny & Marie’s Award Show Fiasco, the latest episode of Inside Marie’s Play Place, the world premiere of the music video “She’s My Ex” and a featurette in which Audess goes ghost hunting.
Madison said several reality shows will debut on the site soon: Cup Cakes with Jade, Finding My Man, and Hard Talk, hosted by Audess.
The site is funded through a mix of advertising dollars and up-sells.
“This is one of the ways we’re managing the new economy and the changes in the industry,” Madison said. “MaddyGTV is completely free. The fans can just tune in and watch. If they like what they see, the option to buy the XXX version is there.
“Offering long-form content for free is a different idea, but the fans are loving it,” she continued. “Between sales and our sponsors, the site is profitable after just one month, and we’re already developing new programming just for the channel.”
