YNOT – “A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall” a tale of passion amid chaos by wyliecoyote, was named 2009’s Story of the Year by online erotic literature archive Lusty Library. According to the author’s blurb, “While their world burns, two comrades in arms share the one beautiful thing they still have.”Second and third places in the annual contest went to “A Master’s Touch” by Alexandra M and “Worthy of an Oscar” by angiewalkerblue, respectively.

Since 2006, Lusty Library has hosted a year-long competition highlighting the best stories submitted to the site. Each week the Lusty Librarian chooses a featured short story. The best of the weekly winners is named Story of the Month at the end of each month. The Story of the Year and runners-up are chosen from the monthly winners.

“I love and dread this contest every year,” Lusty Librarian said. “There are so many great stories to choose from, I never have an easy choice. We have so many talented authors who write erotica across so many different genres and interests. It’s almost impossible sometimes to narrow it down to one or even three winners.”

Despite the difficulties, the Lusty Librarian said she is grateful for the site’s community effort to build an online erotica resource.

“I’m honored that after so many years we still receive so many wonderful submissions,” she said. “We’re still going strong, and I think that will only continue in 2010.”

Among the plans for Lusty Library during 2010 is a revamp scheduled to debut later in the year.
