Love In The Digital Age
New Sensations has set a Sept. 11 release date for its new romantic feature, “Love In the Digital Age.” Produced for the studio’s New Sensations Romance banner, the romantic comedy is helmed by multi-award winning writer and director Jacky St. James, featuring cinematography by award-winning director of photography Eddie Powell.
The film marks St. James’ eagerly anticipated return to romance and is the first release for New Sensations Romance since 2014’s “Second Chances,” named Best Romance Movie at the 2015 AVN Awards and Best Release at the 2015 XRCO Awards.
“There has been such a drastic departure from romance in the last few years, I feel like finally I am the rebel,” Jacky St. James said. “It was wonderful doing something couple’s friendly with strong female protagonists and a message many of us can likely learn from!”
“Love In the Digital Age” stars Gia Paige as Sara, an internet-obsessed millennial, who on a dare, gives up her smart phone and social media and discovers love is far more rewarding when you get your head out of the cloud. Logan Pierce plays her love interest Grif, an embittered romantic eager to start a romance with Sara before she uncovers a mistake he now knows he’s made.
2016 Penthouse Pet of the Year Kenna James co-stars as Lizzie, Sara’s online-dependent BFF and architect of aforementioned dare. Mona Wales plays Lizze’s mother Janine, a tech-impaired Gen Xer swiping right for the first time on a dating app.
Rounding out the cast are Tyler Nixon as Sara’s self-absorbed ex and wannabe internet personality, Marcus London as Janine’s Mr. (swipe) Right, and 2018 XBIZ Performer of the Year Small Hands as a free-spirited neo-luddite.
“I have said before, great acting performances aren’t always about emoting, crying, and screaming,” St. James said. “Sometimes the best acting is in the subtleties and nuances. Every single performer in this film brings their A game and I am beyond proud of everything my team and I accomplished. This film ranks as one of the best in my career.”
“Love In the Digital Age” has a runtime of 123 minutes and includes an exclusive photo gallery and candid Behind-the-Scenes featurette.
