‘Library Girl’ Signs Camming Contract
CAMPBELL, Calif. – An illicit amateur video shot in the library at Oregon State University and then broadcast online made Kendra Sunderland an overnight celebrity. Instantly dubbed “Library Girl,” Sunderland plied her infamy into a rip-roaring career as a webcam entertainer, playing on her notoriety for well more than 15 minutes. She does not intend to get off the train anytime soon.
She has, however, switched tracks by signing an agreement to broadcast exclusively on Cams.com.
“The timing really makes so much sense, and Kendra Sunderland is a rare talent when it comes to live webcam content,” said Scott Thompson, director of product management for Cams.com’s corporate parent, FriendFinder Networks. “Yes, she is beautiful, and so are a lot of other girls, but as anyone in the cam business can tell you, succeeding is so much more about personality than anything else. She has a unique way of emotionally connecting with her audience, and her exposure to the entire Cams.com crowd via our platform is putting her at the top of every fan’s holiday wish list.”
Sunderland indicated she’s delighted to have found a camming “home.”
“I’m really stoked to be working so closely with Cams.com, and the opportunity to become an exclusive model is really important to me,” she said. “It makes the parts of what I do beyond the cam shows themselves so much simpler, which means I can focus on what I’m best at: bringing smiles and joy to the amazing men and women who share their time with me online each day.”
Affiliates may capitalize on Sunderland’s drive and bubbly personality — and her special holiday shows — by promoting her presence on Cams.com. According to Thompson, conversions are higher while college students take a holiday break from classes, and college students compose a considerable amount of Sunderland’s fan base.
