Attorney Lawrence Walters to Moderate June 9 Edition of #SexTalkTuesday
Respected, experienced attorney Lawrence G. Walters will host the upcoming edition of the twitter-based weekly chat show #SexTalkTuesday this Tuesday, June 9, #SexTalkTuesday producer Angie Rowntree announced today. The show will run from 3-4pm Eastern time/Noon-1pm Pacific.
In something of a departure from past #SexTalkTuesday topics, Walters will lead a discussion centered on questions about intellectual property that are of crucial importance to adult content creators and performers. These questions will include things like “Should I trademark my stage name?”, “How do I copyright my content?” and “How do I get a trademark registration?” among others.
“We’re very fortunate to have Larry offer his services as moderator of this important discussion,” Rowntree said. “He’s so knowledgeable about such a wide range of legal topics and has very long roots in the adult entertainment industry, so he really understands how these issues impact adult businesses, creators and performers, specifically.”
Walters has represented the interests of the adult industry for over 30 years, primarily representing adult website operators, webcam networks, dating sites, and content producers throughout the world. His firm provides advice to adult industry clients on a wide variety of issues, including copyright and trademark, First Amendment rights, FOSTA/SESTA, DMCA, Section 230, Section 2257 compliance, and litigation at all levels. Walters also serves as part of the legal team challenging the constitutionality of FOSTA/SESTA on behalf of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation and other plaintiffs.
