Lauren Phillips On Launching Her Directing Career with Adult Time’s “Switch”
Lauren Phillips is a busy lady these days.
An adult actress, gamer, model, influencer, and brand ambassador to Adult Time, this talented, fiery redhead now adds director and writer to her resume.
In addition to recently releasing numerous scenes in which she stars including Brazzers’ “American Bimbo, Part 2: Gamer” and Adult Time’s Mommy’s Boy “Step by Step,” Phillips also just launched her career behind the camera by inking a deal with Adult Time to create, write, and direct a personal piece of hers called “Switch” based on her BDSM experiences.
Working with Bree Mills to develop the series, the episodes began rolling out in February and star topnotch performers like Victoria Voxxx, Casey Calvert and Maya Woulfe. “Switch” tells the story of a young woman who follows her passion into the world of lesbian BDSM porn.
“After discovering an old fetish paperback in her father’s shed, Victoria finds herself consumed by its stories of submissive women. She spends every waking moment fantasizing over its pages until she decides to visit someone who could help. Dr. Calvert, a kink-aware, sex-positive therapist. Fortunately, the therapist also happens to be a dominant partner.”
In this YNOT interview, Lauren shares how she got her start in the industry and reveals what her journey has been like getting the new Adult Time series off its feet.
What brought you to the industry?
I started out as a professional dancer for five years and was posting my love for my art form. Then, I had a friend who told me I would be great as a porn star. So, I figured I’d try my luck in the adult industry.
What was it like developing your own show ‘Switch’ for Adult Time and writing it with Bree Mills?
Developing and collaborating with Bree Mills was the best opportunity I ever had.
She is so amazing to work with and truly listened to my ideas and suggestions. I couldn’t wait to work with her on “Switch.”
What was the biggest challenge to getting “Switch” off its feet and filmed?
I really didn’t have any challenges. I feel like this moment was meant to be because it worked out so easily and smoothly. Adult Time contracting me, offering the co-directing opportunity, the meetings with Bree with my ideas, and the casting of it.
This was meant to happen!
What skills did you bring from performing that helped you as director?
As a performer, I know the angles that look good, what audiences like to see, and how to care for my cast. So that’s what I brought to the table.
What goals do you have for 2023?
I would love for “Switch” to win an award because of the success it has brought and continues to bring. Fingers crossed!
