Lap Dance Injury Results in Lawsuit
NEW YORK CITY, NY — If only Stephen Chang had listened to anti-strip club forces, he might have been better prepared for the dangers that awaited him inside of the Hot Lap Dance Club near Madison Square Garden. But, instead, the hapless businessmen entered in ignorance – and emerged with “serious injuries.”According to a lawsuit filed last Friday by the wounded securities trader, what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable $40 lap dance turned into a misery, thanks to an errant shoe.
Anyone who has spent even the shortest amount of time in a strip club knows that dancer footwear is infamously high of heel. Alas for Change, at least one dancer at the Hot Lap Dance Club is not flawless in her ability to execute a high leg lift and hip rotation while wearing her platforms, because she managed to clock Chang neatly in the eye with the pointy part of her super stylin’ foot covering.
Chang’s lawsuit contends that during the November 2nd, 2007 lap dance, the performer in question made a turn that involved the heel of her shoe somehow impacting not only his face, but his eye specifically.
The Associated Press reports that the manager of the Hot Lap Dance Club insists he knows nothing of the alleged incident, nor the resulting New York Supreme Court lawsuit.
Patrons of the Hot Lap Dance Club must pay a $50 entry fee and purchase a $10 membership before entering. The cost of a lap dance once inside, is in the neighborhood of $40. Health insurance is not included.
