Lana Rhodes Has Cryptosis!
No, it’s not a disease. And it’s not “Cryptosis” it’s Crypto Sis… or maybe it’s CryptoSis? In this context, at least, it’s also not a metal band from the Netherlands. No, in this instance, it’s an NTF collection and definitely not something for which you need to take a course of antibiotics (or wear earplugs).
Crypto Sis presents itself as one of the fastest growing NFT collections out there, opening on January 20, with its whitelist sale raising 300K within hours. The site has attracted a significant fanbase, with its Discord channel reportedly growing quickly to over 100k members in only a week, and the collection is currently sold out. As a bonus, the creator of Crypto Sis – Lana Rhoades – says she also enjoyed an explosion on her TikTok account, scoring 50K new followers within 48 hours after the Crypto Sis launch – with one video garnering over 3 million views.
What makes Crypto Sis unique, according to its founder, is that its NFT Collection is the first to be developed by an adult film star. (Since other adult film stars have been closely associated with NFT collections, some might dispute that claim, depending on how you define terms like “founder” vs. “owner” or “creator.”) Rhoades stated that she started the NFT venture to further leverage her fame — her Instagram account alone sports 16.7M followers — and secure new partnerships.
Clout, who reported on the new currency the day it hit the market, said that “Crypto Sis has 10,000 unique tokens based on the Ethereum blockchain and buyers can snap up NFT art pieces which include varying outfits, costumes, expressions, and tons of different details to the art.”
Rhoades says she has not spent a dime on promotion, relying on word-of-mouth and her own posts. One enticing marketing ploy she used was the opportunity for one lucky Crypto Sis owner to go on tour to South Africa WITH her. She also hooked up some support from her ex-boyfriend, Mike Maljak, and boxer Logan Paul.
Rhoades said that her intent is “to help others in the space and the community at large” and that she has huge plans to “work with every girl in the adult industry.” Crypto Sis says it already has Mia Malkova as the next confirmed drop, with other performers like Riley Reid and Abella Danger on the bucket list.
Will Crypto Sis (or Cryptosis, or possibly CryptoSis) continue to be a hit with NFT collectors? With the current collection sold out, it will be interesting to see whether parts of the collection show up on the secondary market — and to see how future drops perform, as well.
