Lalexpo: Record-Setting 8th Edition of Show “the Most Memorable”
CALI, Colombia – Despite many obstacles and challenges, the organizers of Lalexpo 2022 say the show was an “overwhelming success” that set records for attendees and sponsors – making it the “most memorable edition throughout our history.”
“This year we broke records,” the Lalexpo organizers said in a post-show statement issued today, “with 5,174 attendees and 95 sponsors, Lalexpo confirms why it is the largest industry event in Latin America and the world.”
“In our eighth edition we had the support of the Mayor’s Office of Cali and its different entities, such as the secretary of Health, Tourism, Welfare, Peace and Culture, Security and Justice and Planning,” the expo’s organizers added. “Also, with the participation of Migración Colombia and some Senators of the Republic, which demonstrates the legality and good practices that we promote within the industry.”
In the post-show announcement, Lalexpo touted the attendance of 12 renowned influencers at this year’s event, including Daiky Gamboa, Karen Sevillano and Aida Cortes.
“Our attendees enjoyed the different presentations of the five invited artists of international stature: Kevin Roldán, Dálmata, Luigi 21 Plus, Crissin and Dj Marcela Reyes, Lalexpo added in the statement, noting that the event’s gatherings were “definitely the best parties in the industry.”
“From July 23 to 26, we were a trend with more than 1,000 stories and posts shared on social media,” Lalexpo added. “All this drives us to continue breaking records and to continue working so that Lalexpo continues to cross borders in Latin America.”
Lalexpo closed the announcement on a bittersweet note, appearing to reference the inhospitable position certain elements of the Colombian government have adopted toward the event – the source of the obstacles alluded to at the beginning of this post.
“Finally, we say goodbye, but not before saying that we deeply regret that in Colombia the necessary conditions and guarantees do not exist so that our event can continue to take place,” the Lalexpo organizers said in their statement. “However, we know that we have the support of the entire industry, therefore, we will soon share more details about the projects that we will carry out in the rest of Latin America. Expect more news from us soon!”
