Kink’s Diary of a Madman Launches for Thanksgiving
Kink’s JohnPaul the Pope Releases Controversial “Diary of a Madman” Series
With his latest release for Kink.com, legendary fetish director JohnPaul “The Pope” is pushing into newer and darker territory. The Pope’s four-part series “Diary of a Madman” stars Victoria Voxxx as the victim of a psychopath who stalks and abducts her. ‘Madman’ is as psychological as it is sexual, and explores the sometimes controversial practice of consensual non-consent (CNC), in which partners consent to scenarios that may otherwise appear to be non-consensual.
“I want the scenes to evoke certain emotions,” says The Pope. “Not all fantasies are consensual, and the series offers Victoria and the viewers a chance to consensually live out fantasies like abduction and forced submission. Though Hollywood regularly portrays rape and other scenarios of non-consent, I expect CNC in adult will always be controversial, simply because of lack of knowledge and understanding.”
Consensual non-consent falls under Kink’s “sensitive theme” guidelines, which requires additional attention before, during and after a scene to ensure all participants full and on-going consent. For ‘Madman,’ The Pope and Victoria Voxxx communicated extensively before and after each day of the shoot, establishing boundaries and safewords, and processing the scenes as they happened.
“I find consensual non-consent to be extremely cathartic,” says Voxxx, who is experienced with CNC play in her personal life. “It’s hard for some people to be vulnerable on their own. Consensual non-consent gives me an opportunity to disappear into the moment, knowing that the person topping me knows exactly what I need, and wants to watch me get to that oh-so-special subspace.”
Kink.com has created a special landing page for the series, featuring behind the scenes footage from the shoot, and an interview with The Pope and Victoria Voxxx about consensual non-consent. Kink.com’s consent protocols can be found at Kink.com/consent.
“Diary of a Madman” launches Wednesday, November 25 and continues weekly until December 16. To watch the trailer, the first episode or learn more about the shoot and CNC, visit Kink.
