Kinkies Pioneers New Territory: ‘Dream Funding’
BUDAPEST, Hungary – A startup hopes to give adult entertainers, fans and enthusiasts, as well as the movers and shakers of the adult world, a place to support one another in imaginative ways. In short, the adult industry veterans behind the project intend to create the world’s first “dream funding” platform.
The founders call Kinkies — which launched at midnight July 16 — a “better than crowdfunding” system. According to a spokesperson, the site is designed to be a portal for discovery of new talent, new possibilities and cutting-edge ideas. In addition, they hope the Kinkies will become a primary destination for those seeking discounts, fantasy items and services, and qualified adult traffic.
“Porn stars will have the chance to setup a profile and create projects, offering kinky and unique products and services, both digital and tangible, while promoting themselves and their products as well as the studios they shoot with,” said the spokesperson. “Their fans can show their support and love for [the performers] and connect like never before. Fans and supporters can pay tribute to their favorites in the form of purchases and monetary donations and have a direct impact on helping the stars achieve their dreams.”
Cam stars may enjoy an added benefit: Part of the project’s concept is encouraging directors, producers and casting agents to scout the site for new talent, the spokesperson added.
“Studios, directors and producers will have the benefits of bringing projects to life that are out of their reach, such as casting of high-dollar stars for an epic film script, filming in unique locations and launching new genres fueled by fans’ contributions and ideas,” he continued. “At Kinkies the fans contribute for what they want to see become reality, and they can receive great perks and special purchases from the studios like lifetime memberships, studio visits, movie-set memorabilia, castings for roles… The list goes on. Studios can also sponsor stars and supply discounted memberships to their sites, which are listed on stars’ profiles, increasing membership sales while helping the stars and charities reach their ultimate goals.”
A number of performers already have signed up, he noted: Eve Angel, Samantha Bentley, Satin Bloom, Kayla Green, AVN Award winner Anissa Kate, DDF Sex Goddess (BDSM) Award winner Latex Lucy, and more than 50 others.
“We hope all the awesome ladies of the industry will soon be part of the Kinkies team so we can help empower them to achieve their dreams,” the spokesperson said.
But wait! There’s more, he added.
“Innovators and designers of adult products will have a place to pitch their ideas and see the response, spawning a whole range of new pleasure items into a horny new existence,” he said. “With virtual reality already here, this will be a great place to let the kinky world know what your great new idea for erotic satisfaction might be.”
Other uses the founders see for the platform include sponsoring charity events and organizations. Already, dream-funding campaigns have been established to benefit Strippers for Veterans and Save the Pandas.
“For example, every membership bought under the Save the Pandas project adds $10 to the fund,” the spokesperson said. “Good karma and a good cause, all while releasing your stress.”
The site is open to the public for browsing and shopping. Adult industry professionals may apply to create projects.
“If you have a fresh new idea, special goal or dream you’ve always wanted to achieve, you’re socially active and marketable, and you’re ‘kinky’ — meaning pro adult industry — then submit a project today,” the spokesperson said. “If your project is accepted, the team at Kinkies will guide you to a successful project creation and help you move toward the realization of your dreams.”
