Kelly Shibari Tapped for Cameo in Graphic Novel
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Kelly Shibari has worn many hats during her career in adult entertainment: award-winning performer, producer, director, writer and social media maven are only a few. She added a new feather in her war bonnet when Feminist Porn Award-winning director Lynsey G cast Shibari as a “tech warrior” in her newest project, the graphic novel Tracy Queen.
“Tracy Queen is the story of a self-made, independent porn star with a penchant for feminism, an eye on world domination and an army of cyborg clones she created using ‘samples’ collected at gangbangs,” Lynsey G explained. “As her power, fame and profits grow, the forces of conventional pornography gather against her, her gangster grandfather meddles in all of her affairs and her humanity is found, lost and found again. Along the way, Tracy learns to respect herself, sex, women worldwide and the power of love — and how to have orgasms. A lot of orgasms.”
Shibari appears in the second half, where she will “cut a striking figure as a technologically advanced warrior version of herself, wielding a supercharged smartphone with hidden weapons and a determination to help Tracy’s cause from behind enemy lines,” Lynsey G revealed.
A synopsis, character bios and other teasers are available at the novel’s official website, TracyQueen.com.
Linsey G called the project “genre-busting” and said she hopes it will attract the attention of investors, agents and publishers.
“We are so excited about this novel that we want to release it to a huge audience,” she said. “There’s cyborgs, gangsters, talking animals, all kinds of crazy sex, love, philosophy, porn stars and lots more packed into it, so Tracy Queen[//i] has a little something for everyone. We’re especially excited to work with adult stars, like the amazing Kelly Shibari, to bring the story to life.”
In addition to Shibari, the project has signed James Darling, Wolf Hudson, Jiz Lee, Asphyxia Noir, Sophia St. James, Courtney Trouble and Madison Young to cameo roles. Behind the scenes, comics trade notables including illustrator and designer Jayel Draco, letterer Erica Schultz and CGI Previs and reference modeler Chris Covelli compose the creative team.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of [i]Tracy Queen,” Shibari said. “I absolutely love Lynsey, and when she approached me with her idea for her graphic novel, I immediately said yes. How could I not? The concept is absolutely awesome. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the project, and my character, will turn out.”
