YNOT – Less than a year after its debut, performer-director Bobbi Starr’s official website has been remodeled and re-launched, thanks to a partnership between Starr and Juliland network creator Richard Avery.

Starr has owned BobbiStarr.com since 2006, but not until January 2011did she announce the launch of a website at the URL. About the same time, she began blogging at Juliland.com. Avery subsequently offered to work with her to develop BobbiStarr.com beyond what Starr had been able to accomplish on her own.

In addition to Avery’s photographic art, the new site also includes scenes in which Starr has appeared. She said she’ll also use the website to explore and reveal her aptitude as a director.
Everything about the site now belongs to a grand plan.

“I don’t see this website as a random collection of scenes and photos that I happen to appear in,” Starr said. “It is an ongoing project where I can show my creativity. To make a website remarkable, you have to create something that’ll have the fans coming back for more, whether it’s blog posts about the daily behind-the-scenes grind of the [Adult Entertainment Expo], stills that explore my latex and hose fetish, or scenes with bondage and suspension. Some people call all of that ‘content,’ but that word cheapens and commoditizes the imagination and work that goes into a website.”

Starr espouses a similar ethic when it comes to directing. She signed an exclusive directorial contract with adult studio Evil Angel in mid-July, and both parties said they are eager to release titles that will display Starr’s trademark beauty, brains and sexual intensity. Her first movie for the company will be Bobbi’s World, a gonzo flick from a female point of view — hardly typical adult entertainment fare. The two-disc DVD set is expected to hit stores Aug. 24.

“I plan to shoot movies that are hardcore and graphic in their sexuality,” Starr said. “No surprise there, but these scenes will also show the many ways women enjoy sex on their own terms.

“I have always been a staunchly pro-sex feminist,” she added. “I believe consenting adults should never feel guilty for enjoying sex. Sometimes there’ll be a dominant theme where the woman takes charge and makes the male subservient to her whims, and other times the woman will receive pleasure from being submissive. Sometimes it’ll be two people trying to outdo each other while fucking … and every variation in between.”

Still, she said, she will not allow her directorial duties to upstage her artistic endeavors at her online playground.

“Trust me, I’m a hands-on sort of director but there isn’t any way I wouldn’t want to be a part of the perverse plans I have in store for the site,” she said.

BobbiStarr.com is part of the Juliland Cash affiliate program, which pays 50-percent recurring revenue share.
