JuicyAds Goes ‘Green,’ Commits to More Relief Efforts
YNOT – Adult traffic network JuicyAds has upped its social responsibility quotient by adding the Japanese earthquake-and-tsunami relief effort to its charitable donations, and also by “going green” and reducing its carbon footprint.
“Watching the news footage of the disaster in Japan was absolutely shocking, and I immediately felt we needed to help,” said company founder Juicy Jay. “It doesn’t matter how much you donate, I just hope that others will. Many people have lost everything they had; many families lost loved ones.”
JuicyAds began an ongoing commitment to charitable causes last year with small donations to the World Wildlife Fund. Because reducing carbon emissions also has an important impact on the welfare of wildlife, humans and the planet they share, the company’s “green” efforts have resulted in it becoming “the first, if not the only, adult traffic company to go carbon-neutral,” Juicy Jay said.
“There is no reason why more companies in adult are not doing more of this,” he added. “Adult is unique because there are so many virtual companies in this industry. Virtual companies are highly digital, have little to no commute costs, lower overhead costs, bigger margins and are highly affordable to offset.”
Because of its donations to organizations that work to preserve and protect environments, JuicyAds is more than carbon-neutral, Juicy Jay said. Because the donations offset more carbon emissions than the company produces during business hours, JuicyAds actually is carbon-negative. The company encourages others in the industry to join it in its “green” efforts.
JuicyAds.com offers an open marketplace where publishers and advertisers can buy and sell advertising spots on adult websites.
