Venice, CA – Jenevieve Hexxx will be performing her aerial act at Circus Fabulae, held Burning Man, on August 28.

Circus Fabulae is a large-scale interactive art piece that will be presented at this year’s Burning Man festival. The performance was funded by a Kickstarter campaign, which brought in more than its $25,000 goal, however the cost to construct the elaborate stage exceeded that amount.

The pledge page described Circus Fabulae as “a two-story swing set with a beautiful, custom-designed mosaic roof and circular play space for performances of all kinds. Each level has six porch swings, and ladders are installed along the outside structure so that people can get up and down. The floor and ceiling above the center performance space is cut away to give a view of the sky above. Each swing and roof panel will be designed and executed by a different artist or group.”

Hexxx will be performing in the space. “I’ll be doing a lyra hoop act mixed with bellydance and contortion,” she said. “I will also be doing aerial off the back of a huge art car as it drives around throughout the course of the burn and culminating on burn night.”
