Japanese Porn Crew Charged with Prostitution and More
THAILAND — Known internationally as a tourist destination for child prostitutes, adult prostitutes, and sexual reassignment surgery, Thailand has apparently decided to draw the line at the production of adult pornography.Eleven members of a Japanese adult video production team, including three Thai performers, found themselves the focus of unwanted and presumably unexpected police attention in the middle of the night on Wednesday, September 5th. Arrested in a collection of otherwise abandoned beach shacks next to a restaurant in Naklua, Chonburi, the Pattaya City Court has denied the group bail, and ordered its Japanese members both deported and blacklisted.
On Friday the 7th, the 11 were delivered to the Pattaya Prosecuting Attorney, who must delay two days while investigators review associated files and add charges of prostitution.
The attorney for Takeshi Mutsue, his seven Japanese cast and crew members, and three Thai actors had his request for bail denied after all admitted to working on the foreign production. In addition to the prostitution charge, each is expected to face accusations that they produced commercial pornography for distribution.
Police Lieutenant and Investigator Kunawut Chainual will now review the case files now that the Office of the Attorney of Pattaya City has done so.
Meanwhile, Police Colonel and Banglamung Superintendent Sarayut Sa-gnuan-bpo-khai has declared that the eight Japanese nationals will be detailed and ultimately turned over to Pattaya Immigration for deportation and blacklisting.
