In an effort to give women what they want: sexy, friendly, erotic websites, Susanna of Couples Cash has done just that! With her ever-growing affiliate program designed for women and couples, and her straight male TGP and couples TGP, Susanna is one of the few webmasters who has successfully explored this newest niche, sex for couples and women. She is a hard worker, responding to e-mail questions, link requests, ideas, and issues with a quick and friendly manner, designing new sites all-the-while, like her latest, “malesluts,” a TGP for straight men for women! What inspired her? “An incredibly romantic and passionate man,” says Susanna.
TAWess: How did you get involved with the adult online industry?
Susanna: I surfed porn and I thought I could do a better job with a site of my own. I was actually getting frustrated with the lack of porn for women.
TAWess: What inspired you?
Susanna: At the time I was involved with an incredibly romantic and passionate man. We explored sex and sensuality together, even online. I often wished for a site that was much more friendly for both men and women.
TAWess: Was it difficult getting traffic to your site?
Susanna: Just a matter of being clear what the difference is between Couples Sex and other sites; Once the surfers realize my unique content, they tend to buy in like crazy.
TAWess: How did you do it? SE submissions … link trades … toplists?
Susanna: I do it all. I have a couples link list/tgp and I have a male slut link list/tgp with traffic trades. I also have an avs, search engine free sites and spiderable sites. I have paid for traffic but found it not so successful in the for-couples area. I am working on a mailer as well.
TAWess: Is this a full-time venture?
Susanna: Yes, but I supplement my income by working for others as well.
TAWess: Do you get or anticipate gay surfers?
Susanna: I have lesbians in Couples Sex, and because it lends to the male fantasy of sex with two women as well, I think a lot of women are bi-sexual or bi-curious. I do not have gay sex on my site, but I really do not care if gay surfers come to my site and find it worth their while. However, I make a point of trashing any male picture where he poses with his butt hole wide open. Women like a nice ass shot now and again, but there is a fine line on what looks gay and what will attract the mainstream surfer.
TAWess: Do you tap into gay traffic?
Susanna: I have a soon-to-be-released male foot fetish site and it will be marketed to gays, though they won’t find gay (2 males) scenes in it for a long time. I have a few gay domains yet to work on and I will get a few more in the future; 85% of my sites aren’t marketed to gays, however. When I surfed a few years back, I had to go to the gay sites to see men … now men can do the same … 4women sites are not offensive to gays. To summarize, I make sites aimed at women, if gays like it then fine. I think there are two kinds of gay men: hardcore bdsm sorts and just a guy that likes to look at cock. Sounds similar to the female segment, no? Whether you think so or not, there is a place for everyone.
TAWess: Which adult sites and webmasters have been the most helpful your venture?
Susanna: Well, I’m not sure if Tom’s Newbie Board (http://www.topniche.com/booster/message.cgi) is an “adult site” per your wording, but it’s where I pick up on ever-little detail that we all must learn to be on the top in webmastering. Tom has also been a great inspiration and help to me. I also love frequenting Women’s Erotica Network to see what the latest topic of discussion is in the 4women areas. A lot of networking really does get done there.
TAWess: What do you like the least about being an adult webmaster?
Susanna: That is a hard question. I suppose, it’s how big the learning curve is. One day I think I am so smart and have things figured out pretty good and then the next day, a big piece of the puzzle falls into place, yet again. I keep looking back and shaking my head.
TAWess: What do you like most about being an adult webmaster?
Susanna: I love the webmasters I meet and do business with. I am a networker … I like to barter and trade for services. I love how fast paced the net is, with new things to learn all the time.
TAWess: What’s your advice for other women interested in doing an adult website?
Susanna: Another adult webmistress said very recently, “Market to yourself what ever it is that turns you on, market that.” Don’t worry about doing something different. If you look at the ratio of male oriented sites to female oriented sites you will see there is much room for duplication. Meet people face to face. If you’re like me and cannot afford that, talk to them on the phone. It really lends itself to great networking and great friendships. Also, go to the smaller regional webmaster shows.
