Interview: Cami Strella – Killing it With Her Career on Her Terms
Southern babe and dark eyed beauty Cami Strella has been killing it with her career.
But it hasn’t been an easy road.
First she fell into an MLM Cult that tried to force her into celibacy and labeled her a “sex addict.” Breaking free, she set her eyes on getting a license as an occupational therapist with a neurological rehabilitation track and opened an OnlyFans and TikTok account to help support the bills. When a classmate discovered her “side job” and outted her she was forced to leave her program after bullying and harassment.
But Cami didn’t let this hold her back. She turned lemons into lemonade, embraced her career in adult and is now in the top .03% of OnlyFans. In addition, using her neuroscience background, she’s gone on to help fund causes aimed at mental healths, and supports veterans with PTSD through her gifts as an adult performer, as reported on by the Daily Star, and Military Times.
Cami has done it all on her terms, and it’s exciting to see her success. Read on for more about this intelligent, hardworking creator to see where she’s headed.
How did you get your start in the business?
I started off working as a cocktail waitress at a strip club while I was finishing my undergraduate degree and applying to grad school. It wasn’t long until I started dancing on stage and in the VIP booths, began camming, and then created a fully online presence shortly before COVID in February 2020. Being an adult content creator allowed me to pay my bills while I pursued my studies.
What’s has been your secret sauce for snagging the top .03% on OnlyFans?
I’m very excited to now be in the top 0.03%! There really is no secret, though, just consistency in quality AND quantity. I produce multiple scenes per week and post every single day to my socials. I utilize lots of different organizational apps and I created a daily “Core To-Do List” where I check tasks off that I must complete every day, no matter what.
I love your branding on your site – camistrella.com. It’s got a 70s soft porn look with the fonts and warm colors. How did you come up with the concept and is this what you were going for?
I’ve always loved the 70s! It was an era to me that porn was emerging, and I love the nostalgia of the days when adult content was almost exclusively available in print.
You were in a MLM cult for a bit, which was not a good experience. Was there anything positive that came out of it?
Being in an MLM cult, while the overall experience was negative, actually ended up teaching me a lot about business, finances, and self-development.
Being in porn is essentially being in sales, especially when you run your own platforms, and you have to know how to invest back into your business in ways that make sense and scale appropriately. These are all things I learned in that MLM cult.
What are your goals for 2023?
I’m planning monthly trips all over the world with some of my closest friends to create content in venues and settings that offer something totally different! I hope to scale to seven figures per month by the end of 2023, but I’m perfectly happy staying consistent month after month. I’ve also set a personal goal to film at least one anal scene per month, as that is not something I’m accustomed to, but I want to master it!
And overall, I want to continue shooting amazing scenes with top female talent with my co-creator, Lev Lieben.
