International Galaxy Awards to Honor Best in Adult Industry
YNOT – The Barcelona-based Galaxy Awards has announced the categories list for its innaugural presentation. Awards will be given in a dozen worldwide categories, with additional awards presented to productions arising in Spain. Winners — to be determined during three rounds of judging that will combine fan and industry insider voting — are expected to be announced March 19.
The Galaxy Awards are a new virtual event presented by Milkyway Channel, whose owner said he expects the event to grow in the coming years. Round one of the judging, to be accomplished by a panel of industry insiders, will determine the nominees. Some of the most prominent reviewers, webmasters and journalists in the adult industry have been invited to narrow the field for the final two rounds.
Once the initial nominations are determined, the voting will be turned over to fans. Online voting will be open for a pre-determined period of time, and the top three vote-getters in each category will advance to the final round. From the list of finalists, a panel of industry judges will select the winners.
For the U.S. and Europe, the categories are Best Male Performer, Best Female Performer, Best Series, Best Scene, Best Website Design, Best Network, Best Website, Best Personal Website, Best New Male Performer, Best New Female Performer, Best Erotic Website and Best Video Promotional Tools.
Media partners for the inaugural awards include Porno Gafapasta and Pornoticiero in Spain, Delta di Venere in Italy, RogReviews in the U.S and the pan-European news-and-education resource YNOT Europe. International translation service TranslationsXXX provides translation services.
“I’m proud of our partners,” said Milkyway Channel Editor Xuancar. “I’m sure all of them will put their best efforts to contribute to the success of our debut effort, giving more exposure to the event and making much more attractive the sponsorship.”
Companies interested in sponsoring the awards may request more information by email before Jan. 1. Sponsorships are limited in number.
