Innovative API Connector Wins PV API Developers Contest
YNOT – Christopher O’Connell of Saguaro Digital took top honors in the inaugural PV API Developers Contest with his app Pink Visual API Connector. In lieu of an all-expenses-paid VIP trip to Pink Visual’s Pron Party, O’Connell elected to receive a $2,500 cash prize.
“Chris has submitted a few apps to PV API since October, all of which were impressive, but the Pink Visual API connector stands out as the single best app submitted during the contest,” said Director of Business Development Liam Colins. “The plugin goes right to the heart of why we created PV API in the first place: to give developers and webmasters more flexibility in how they can use and display our data. By making it incredibly simple to use our API in a WordPress context, Chris has created something of value not only for himself and Pink Visual, but for all WordPress users who promote Pink Visual.”
The contest, launched in October, sought to encourage developers to embrace the then-new PV API tool. Using PV API, developers can create almost any kind of adult website or application they can imagine, including full-fledged niche sites, games, index-style link links and mobile applications. Upon signing up with PV API, developers received a limited API Key, which becomes fully enabled once Pink Visual has reviewed and approved the completed project.
“Saguaro Digital is honored and grateful to win the PV API Developers Contest,” O’Connell said. “We were thrilled with the opportunities presented by PV API, and we hope in the future that many more developers will implement it.”
O’Connell added that Saguaro Digital has agreed to release its underlying Pink Visual API client under the open-source Apache license to help other developers more easily learn and implement the PV API.
