Industry Profile: Cyndalie Returns Home to Adult Chamber
FLORIDA – Her name is Cynthia Ashlock, but most people in the adult internet community know her as Cyndalie. In adult internet years, she’s an industry veteran, starting out in early 1998 as a receptionist for an IT company that specialized in online transaction processing, web hosting, bandwidth sales, development and design. It didn’t take her long to move further into the company’s infrastructure, soon working in its marketing department where she learned HTML and SEO (search engine optimization). It was the turn of a new century and millennium when she took on the name Cyndalie and began administering Adult Webmaster Hangout/Adult Chamber’s webmaster resource board. Although she had been running her own business, Intense Marketing, the appeal of Adult Chamber was so strong that after six months with the company, she closed the shutters on her personal marketing venture and came on board full time as the company’s new marketing director. For the next three years she worked with Marc Laffer to develop “search engine friendly real estate online.” The result, as many already know, was a long term improvement in ranking and proof that solid SEO projects are worth the time and money invested in them.
In the summer of 2003, Cyndalie was preparing for her impending nuptials when she received what she calls “an offer I couldn’t refuse” from PSW Billing, inviting her to manage their marketing and advertising. Unfortunately for the now nonexistent billing entity, the credit card industry’s chargeback regulations and requirements struck a killing blow. Once her one year employment contract with PSW Billing expired, Cyndalie joined the Klixxx Magazine team where she hoped to directly assist webmasters. While there, she continued to build her marketing skills, particularly in the area of print media. Having written for the magazine in the past and developed a relationship with its staff, she was excited by the opportunity to work for the local company and help develop its online presence and profitability. After applying her traffic and advertising skills to the publication, she grew restless, hoping to find a position that would more vigorously contribute to her “personal and professional growth.” Ironically, she found that position back at Adult Chamber.
In a new twist on the everything old is new again adage, Cyndalie is excited about returning to Adult Chamber and truly working more closely with the adult and mainstream webmaster communities, as well as the company she loves. Additionally, Cyndalie is enjoying the chance to take on SEO clients again, as well as work close to home for a company with good employee benefits, and a policy of encouraging its employees to become involved in business decisions.
With the help of current marketing director, Jordan Blanco, Cyndalie plans to continue to develop and market Adult Chamber, its properties, and its SEO services. In fact, the newly re-hired marketing expert points out that her company now has “the potential to accept SEO business from companies like, for example, LightspeedCash.com” in addition to being able “to offer natural optimization services for both paysites and corporate sites.” After working alone for so much of the past two years, she’s glad to be working as part of a team again. “I’ve always believed that two heads are better than one,” she explains. When she’s not providing assistance to Blanco, Cyndalie will be working with James Arnold in the sales department to satisfy the needs of any and all clients.
Cyndalie looks forward to reconnecting with webmasters and industry folk and will be at the Adult Chamber booth (911/913) during this summer’s Internext Expo in Florida, and telling them about the company’s plug-in news, press release, and resource feeds.
