Industry Attorney to Offer Free Legal Consultations at AEE
YNOT – Attorney Eric M. Bernstein will offer no-cost legal consultation and conduct group question-and-answer sessions during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo Jan. 18-21 in Las Vegas. Bernstein said he will address issues of interest to talent, business owners, webmasters and other adult entertainment industry insiders.
“Given that 2012 is an election year, content piracy continues to run rampant and numerous entities within and without the adult industry continue to threaten the livelihood and profitability of the sector, there is plenty of concern about how legitimate adult companies can stay in business and what the year ahead may bring,” Bernstein said.
Bernstein, founding partner of Eric M. Bernstein & Associates LLC, also will participate on the “Not In My Backyard!” panel discussion during the AVN Novelty Expo, which runs concurrently with AEE. The panel discussion is set to take place from 10-11 a.m. Jan. 18. Bernstein — who has spent 30 years practicing First Amendment, government and municipal law in addition to representing clients in the adult industry — will offer his perspective and professional opinion about the impact of zoning laws and requirements on adult businesses.
Bernstein’s free consultation and Q&A sessions, sponsored by YNOT.com, will take place near the AEE show floor in the Paradise Tower at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Attendees will be eligible for premium items giveaways and reduced fees on professional services.
“AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo has always been one of my favorite shows in the adult space,” Bernstein said. “My firm has been attending, exhibiting and speaking at it for the better part of 10 years. We always appreciate AVN’s efforts to create one of the best arenas for [business-to-business] and [business-to-consumer] opportunities, and I’m hopeful that 2012 will prove to be a year that more and more adult businesses put additional effort into dotting their Is and crossing their Ts, so to speak, with running their businesses legally.”
