HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – A gala celebration at the Avalon nightclub on Wednesday evening honored the winners of The Sex Awards.

Inaugurated this year as a partnership between X3Sixty Network and AVN Media Network, The Sex Awards were billed as “the adult industry’s first consumer-voted award show to be broadcast on national television.” The red carpet action and the two-hour show were recorded for broadcast in January 2014.

Eligibility for the 2013 awards was limited to products and movies released between June 1, 2012, and May 31, 2013. What the awards show’s producers described as “overwhelming industry business and talent participation in the nomination process” resulted in more than 100 nominees per category.
