Immigration Detains Porn Stars Prior to Boobs on Bikes Parade
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND — California-based adult performer Kayden Kross likely had a good idea that somebody somewhere would be upset with her for participating in the annual New Zealand Boobs on Bikes parade – but she apparently didn’t expect her trouble to come from the immigration department. Nonetheless, that’s where she lost four hours of her life.Kross and an industry peer entered the country to attend this year’s Erotica Expo and take part in its festive Boobs on Bikes parade. Unfortunately, when the two, along with Kross’ manager, arrived at the Auckland Airport, things didn’t look good for participating in either.
Kross reports that the three were asked to present work permits and informed that they would not be allowed to visit the country if they did not comply with the request. Given that none of the three were being paid to attend the Expo or parade, none of the three had applied for work permits. The trip, they explained, was a promotional one, although event organizer Steve Crow had paid for the performers’ airfare and hotel accommodations.
While immigrations pondered what to do with the trio, the Sunday News quotes Kross as saying that they were “discriminated” against.
“One of the (immigration officers) actually forced my friend to say she was a porn actress,” 22-year-old Kross reports.
Further, although they were forced to wait four hours for the decision to issue six-day work permits, Kross states that none of them were offered food or water. Although there was a snack machine nearby, Kross says that neither she nor any of her companions had New Zealand currency on them.
A Labour Department representative is said to have indicated that an investigation into the matter is underway – along with a police investigation into an assault Kross claims took place during the Boobs on Bikes parade.
According to Kross, who filed a complaint with the Auckland central police station, a man along the parade route asked if he could feel her breasts and “I hit him and said ‘no,’ and he hit me back,” she explains.
