How to Shoot a Flasher Series
illusionVoyeurism is one of the most popular keywords in Net porn searches, and amateur Web girls can cash in on the popularity of this niche by staging “public flashing” shots in well-known settings that surfers will recognize. Nina Marachino explains the do’s and don’ts of shooting “flasher” shots in very public places.
Flasher pictures are very popular with my members and they are a welcomed change from the ordinary amateur shoot. If you’re looking to add something a little different to your member’s area, try posing nude in public. In this article, I’ll go over the ins and outs of shooting a flasher series.
Flashing in public may not be for everyone. It requires a certain amount of bravado and detachment from the awestruck eyes of pedestrians. If you are up for the sort of attention that flashing might bring, here’s how you should begin.
CHOOSE A LOCATION
This should be considered before you begin. Think of a location that viewers might recognize: a national landmark, statue or in front of a police station. Revealing yourself in such a public place adds tension to the photos. Members have told me they get turned on thinking, “I can’t believe she got naked there.” It even adds more excitement if it’s a famous location that viewers may have visited.
I just did a flasher series with Nikki of NikkisPlayground.com and we had to decide on the ideal location to shoot in New York City. It might appear to be an easy place to find locations, but the most famous landmarks are huge buildings that really wouldn’t read in the photographs. And in Manhattan, people are everywhere. You definitely do not want to get naked in a densely populated area. It does make it a bit easier flashing with someone else, but remember to use your head when choosing a location. After some thought, we settled on Central Park. It’s a beautiful daytime location with plenty of little hideaways where you can pull your tits out for the camera.
We began at Strawberry Fields, the famous tribute to John Lennon, and we snapped a quick picture in front of the sign bearing its name. This was a very busy location, and the way to pull off this kind of shot is to first pose (without flashing) and consider what is happening in your line of vision. Don’t worry about what’s happening behind you, because when you flash they wouldn’t be able to see or know what you are doing. I’ve found people to be pretty oblivious to others around them. It’s easier to get away with flashing in secrecy than one might think. And in the event that someone is approaching too closely from behind, your cameraman will notify you to wait a moment.
The cameraman should be fiddling with the camera to make it look like the delay in taking the photo is because of an equipment problem. Be ready to seize the moment, because you might only have one chance to grab the perfect shot. And be brave, girls!
THE APPEARANCE OF PUBLIC EXPOSURE
Remember, just like any other type of pornography, flashing pics create an illusion that arouses viewers. A photographer can give the impression that a girl is flashing where there are tons of people just by catching a few people behind the subject. The photographer must try to dramatize the situation. So girls, be as private as you can be and have the cameraman help create a risque environment in the pictures.
It depends what state you’re from, but in New York it is actually legal for women to walk around topless. Of course, it wouldn’t benefit most women to do so, but if I was ever stopped by a police officer, I couldn’t get in any real trouble. But the viewer isn’t thinking about this when he sees your pics. Again, the idea is to give the impression that what you’re doing is really risky without ever doing something wrong.
BE CAREFUL OF WHO’S WATCHING
I’d say the most challenging part about shooting outside is staying away from children. You should definitely not shoot when kids are around, no matter how perfect the shot might seem. To avoid these situations, we headed deeper into the park and found more secluded trails.
We took a few more high-profile shots as well, including one in front of the famous angel fountain. It’s a good idea to shoot early in the day or late at night (except for in Central Park, of course), so there are less people around. We timed our arrival at the fountain perfectly. I had never seen so few people there, and we used this to our advantage.
FLASHER FOLLOWERS
Be prepared for a couple of excited witnesses to follow you around a bit. I guess that watching a girl flash isn’t something you see everyday, even in New York City, so you should expect to have a few fans follow you. In my experience, the followers remain aloof, trying to act like they just happened to be heading in the same direction as you, always. I once did a shoot where a delivery guy followed us around on his bike for a good 45 minutes, going up to apartments pretending to ring their buzzers. It was pretty funny because his bike basket was empty. Others have been more direct, saying “Oh you should shoot one over hear with me” and they seem more comfortable and understand the good-natured fun that we’re having and want to get involved. As always, keep your guard up and be aware of where you are and what is going on around you at all times.
I’ve certainly taken my share of risky pictures in public — on the subway, in the meat-packing district at night, and in decrepit warehouses — but the photos always convey an element of danger that exceeds the reality of the situation. Remember that flashing should be fun, not dangerous. And once you start, you’ll find it difficult to stop. As your inhibition leaves you, you will take more and more interesting shots. Just be sure that your common sense does not exit with your inhibitions.
