PAY THEM: Okay, all the above sounds simple, but there’s always a catch. Tons of photographers pay models a daily rate of $400-$750 a day to do adult and figure modeling. I’ve spent over a year booking models all over the country with photographers that do nothing but hire internet models. The web is full of models that will work for you, and teaming with photographers that hire them.

My experience is that hiring an internet model is a “pain in the ass”. You’ll have to bop e-mails back and forth a zillion times before they trust you enough to make the trip. Then you have a 50/50 chance that after buying air tickets and sending a deposit that they won’t show.

Before jumping into hiring the first hot internet model you see, I suggest you lurk at some forums for the glamour/figure models. Find out which models are working; you’ll know by the posts that brag about their latest jobs. Then start posting regularly. Ooop’s one more thing, be CREDIBLE. Have a website where they can see your work. Have a phone number listed where hey can reach you. Don’t have a “hotmail e-mail address”. Hitting the Streets

Option two is find an agency that spends the time to weed out the flakes, druggies and wierdo’s (both models and photographers) and work with them. Not an easy task for an agency, but yes their are a few out there. My favorite of course is ME. I’ve interviewed over a 1000, tried over a 100 and only have 6 professionals on my site for glamour/figure models at: www.alabamatalent.com/glamour. I do switch up my models. In this business they can get “over-saturated” quick, so I move them onto other projects.

Your local agencies might surprise you. In smaller markets, you’ll find an agent or two that when asked, “I need a model for figure work”, they’ll respond yes. Larger markets or towns ask way too much money, but smaller towns are glad to get any kind of work. Try them, you’ll be surprised.

Of course another source for models is “hitting the streets”. Potential models that want to get wild, naked and hot are everywhere, but not easy to find unless you know some insider secrets. I’ll have an in-depth article on how to recruit; It’s an art form, but easily learned and mastered.
