COLORADO – Hone Lynn, a popular industry veteran, was diagnosed with Stage 4 renal failure on Wednesday. Like many independent contractors, she has no insurance. Unlike many others, her only family is her dog, Buster, who suffers from heart disease. Much of her disposable income recently has been devoted to Buster’s medical care.

Lynn indicated the disease overtook her rapidly and without warning.

“I thought I had the flu,” she wrote on Facebook. “I went to the ER today, and my blood tests revealed I am in stage 4 renal (kidney) failure. I have no insurance and, honestly, I don’t want to fight it.

“I live alone,” the post continued. “My only dependent is my dog, Buster, and he has heart disease. Quite the pair, aren’t we? Anywho, not really sure why I am posting this. I just don’t want people to suddenly think I am ignoring them.”

According to XBIZjobs.net founder Eddie Kreider, Lynn likely will need dialysis and possibly a kidney transplant in the near future. He has established a GoFundMe campaign to help with her medical expenses. Within two hours of posting, the campaign had raised $5,000 of the $25,000 goal.

“We all know she is a very strong and capable of keeping this disease at bay, but she needs your help,” Kreider posted in the campaign’s introduction.

Friends and professional associates reacted with surprise and distress when Kreider broke the news about Lynn’s health.

“She has always been one of the sweetest people ever to work in this industry,” said Engine Food founder Stewart Tongue.

Wasteland.com founder Colin Rowntree called the news “devastating.”

The YNOT staff, too, reacted with dismay.

“This latest news about Hone Lynn is both shocking and saddening,” said co-owner Jay Kopita. “All of us here at YNOT have known her since the earliest days of the adult internet industry and would appreciate any support that anyone and everyone can give.”

YNOT Director of Product and Services Richard “Rochard” Buss worked closely with Lynn for several years.

“I worked with Hone Lynn while at Lightspeed Cash,” he said. “She was our photographer and managed our models. She is very genuine and just an overall great person.”

Lynn currently serves as the head of business development for Your Paysite Partner. She also has worked with BlazingBucks, Lightspeed Cash, Gamma Entertainment, SunnyDollars, FUBAR Webmasters and several other companies during her 17 years in the adult industry.
