LOS ANGELES, CA – Carla Gugino (Spy Kids) and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) have signed to play leading roles in Elektra Luxx, the cinematic sequel to the as-yet-unreleased ensemble comedy Women in Trouble.According to Variety, Women in Trouble follows a day in the life of 10 Los Angeles women. Elektra Luxx picks up the next day, when Gugino, playing the titular porn-star, discovers she’s pregnant. Hilarity reportedly ensues.

Gugino appeared in the original film. She appears to be the only returning cast member. Others announced for the cast of Elektra Luxx include Tim Olyphant and Justin Kirk.

A third film in the series is planned by writer-director Sebastian Gutierrez: Women in Ecstacy. At press time no word was available about its concept or cast.
