Hollywood Hypocrisy: Lohan Family Style
LOS ANGELES, CA — Everyone who cares to know such things knows that Dina Lohan is a loving mother deeply concerned about the health, safety, and reputation of her daughters. After all, the mother of barely legal mainstream entertainment role model and long-time unofficial anti-sobriety spokesmodel Lindsay Lohan not only visits her elder daughter when she’s in rehab, they club hop together when she’s not.
With hands-on parenting like that in evidence, it’s hardly a surprise that Mater Familia takes a keen interest in the professional projects that her various talented offspring choose to showcase their copious talents.
When word began circulating through the blogosphere that the senior Lohan was furious about the latest film project that Ali Lohan, her 14-year-old and less famous daughter, had auditioned for, it could be understood. After all, we’re talking about a remake of the 1986 Canadian sorta horror sorta cult-classic, Troll, which is unlikely to receive a nod from the Academy.
But Dana Lohan’s complaint is not that a laughable horror flick featuring a midget in a troll’s suit doesn’t really need to be remade; it’s with the fact that its director has stood behind the camera on not merely a few B-movie sets, but also a few porn sets.
According to various Hollywood gossip sites, the mother of all things Lohan is beyond incensed that her otherwise innocent and deeply sheltered daughter came into direct contact with someone who’s actually helped create genuine pornography – as opposed to merely traipsing around town like a B-list DP queen who forgot to change back into her sweats when she left the set.
So upset is Dina Lohan with daughter Ali’s agent, who set up the totally non-porn related audition with director Peter Davy, that gossip Mecca TMZ insists she has threatened that “heads will roll” over the matter.
Those compelled to learn exactly what went on when the 14-year-old acting hopeful successfully auditioned for the role of Eunice St. Clair in Davy’s new version of Troll can view it during Ali’s E! reality show, Living Lohan. The program follows the youngest Lohan as she attempts to succeed as an actress and singer – like her big sister. Her single, “All the Way Around” has remained on the iTubes Top 100 since it was released earlier in July – which is more than one can say for Davy’s classics; Breast Wishes 14, Bun Busters 12, or even Dreams of the Forbidden Zone or Voodoo Lust: The Possession.
Given all the sturm und drang, one would think Ali was going to star in a remake of the 1971 Swedish version of Troll, — which tells the tale of a very horny married couple afraid to have sex for fear they will die.
