LOS ANGELES, CA — The never-ending battle for tabloid inches and public acclaim continues between celebritante Paris Hilton and pop diva disaster Britney Spears. After each had various run-ins with the law and temper tantrums in retail outlets, each headliner has apparently decided to open her own strip club.Gossip site Popcrunch.com insists that upon hearing that Outrageous songstress Spears was contemplating the launch of a string of strip clubs in Las Vegas, super competitor Hilton decided to do the same.

According to Popcrunch.com, “Britney was excited about this project for months and is really pissed with Paris that things have come to this.”

Part of “this” may well be paling around with now ex-husband Kevin Federline, which is something Hilton has been seen doing lately. When not accepting a chaste kiss from K-Fed, Hilton has been working to get her hotelier sister, Nicky, onboard the strip club bandwagon, which she plans to call Shagadillic.

“Britney has always thought of stripping as a bit like art – as a skill,” Popcrunch.com explains. “So, when some Vegas-based developers approached her about investing money into three exclusive strip clubs, which she wants to call Toxic Heaven, she jumped at the chance.”

A lot of stripping may well explain why Spears removed her clothing in the middle of the Sunset Boulevard Hustler Hollywood shop this past November while trying on new Barely Legal brand underwear. Although she ultimately paid for the panties, shop employees claim she snagged a mannequin’s wig on the way out the front door.
