Help Defeat Measure B, Claim Free Marketing Package
YNOT – In a final-days effort to defeat Measure B — the Los Angeles County ballot initiative that would require condoms and other barrier protection on all adult film sets — the AVN Media Network has put its money and its considerable media reach where its sentiments are. Any adult-oriented business that helps spread the word about defeating Measure B may claim a free marketing package including advertising and promotion in a variety of AVN-operated channels.
“We are in the critical final week of preparing for the Measure B vote that will take place in Los Angeles County on Nov. 6,” AVN Chief Executive Officer Theo Sapoutzis said. “Now is the time to educate our porn consumers and local voters that it is imperative that they vote ‘no’ on B.”
The marketing package includes web, print and events components, including:
- A pinned thread at popular webmaster forum GFY.com.
- Company logo in a shared skin on GFY.com and AVN.com.
- Company- or product-specific tweets via two different Twitter streams that reach a combined total of more than 450,000 consumers and adult business followers.
- One half-page or full-page ad in the Internext 2013 show guide, plus acknowledgement in the 2013 Adult Entertainment Expo and AVN Awards show guides.
- Two badges for Internext Expo 2013 and two all-access badges for AEE 2013.
Details, along with additional rewards and terms, are here.
In order to claim a marketing package, companies must:
- Contact their customers and affiliates with a “no on Measure B” message. A ready-made HTML flyer is here.
- Add a banner or pop-up ad to the homepage of their website(s). Banners are here; pop-up code may be obtained by email.
- Share the “no on Measure B” message through social media. Ready-made Twitter tweets are here.
- Embed videos from the url=http://www.youtube.com/performersforchoice/]Performers for Choice YouTube channel[/url].
“We have a mailer, pop-up code, banners and social media messages ready to use,” Sapoutzis said, stressing that all of the messages relate strictly to Measure B and refer recipients to the non-commercial website PerformersForChoice.com. “You simply need to use them starting immediately and continue until the election.
“Voters decide on these measures at the very last moment, and your actions can make the difference, he added.
