Helix Mobilizes Flagship Gay Website
YNOT – San Diego, Calif.-based gay adult content producer Helix Studios has joined the migration to the mobile realm with the launch of a version of its flagship website designed specifically to deliver content to un-tethered devices.m.HelixStudios.com, built on the Webkit platform, enables users of smartphones, iPhones and iPads to browse and watch the same scenes members of the website’s desktop version enjoy.
“This is a huge bonus for our members who are always on the go,” said Project Manager Lukas Volk. “Members no longer need their laptop or a wifi signal to stay connected to their favorite scenes on HelixStudios.com. Just go directly to the site from your smartphone or iPad, and you’ll be automatically connected to the optimized web version.”
To make finding the site even easier for new users, Helix now includes 2D barcodes on the back of each new DVD. Consumers whose smartphones are scanning-enabled may preview Helix titles simply by scanning the code.
“The addition of these new technologies only helps build a stronger brand relationship with our valued customers,” Volk said. “This will increase sales for our physical distributors with DVDs and help drive even more traffic for our online affiliates.”
The studio’s affiliate program, HelixCash, pays $35 per sign-up or 50-percent revshare, plus a 10-percent webmaster referral bonus. In addition to the eponymous website, the affiliate program includes the fetish site SpankThis.com.
