GFY Becomes Newest ASACP In-Kind Media Sponsor
The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce that GFY has become its newest In-Kind Media Sponsor.
Known for its lively community and uncensored discussions, GFY.com features a range of dedicated message boards devoted to topics ranging from casual commentary to in-depth adult and mainstream business discussions. In addition, educational forums, along with marketplaces for content, jobs, services, traffic, and more, round out the GFY experience.
Entering its 22nd year, GFY’s “Where the Industry Meets” tagline underscores its value as a veteran resource and touchpoint for the digital media business.
According to ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning, support from its In-Kind Media Sponsors helps the association spread awareness of the industry’s relevant issues and the solutions that ASACP provides.
“ASACP’s In-Kind Media Sponsors are vital resources when it comes to reaching out to the community-at-large,” Henning said. “As an industry leader, GFY’s support of the association sends a compelling message that echoes among the front-line operators that we most need to reach.”
“During this era of limited traveling and one-on-one connection opportunities,” Henning added, “ASACP’s In-Kind Media Sponsors are key to educating stakeholders about the free resources we provide for keeping children out of and away from adult-oriented materials. These resources not only help to make the internet a safer place for children but safer for digital media companies and their service providers as well.”
ASACP relies on financial support to fund initiatives such as its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than one million reports since its inception. Likewise, this support funds the Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta-labeling system that prevents children’s access to adult-oriented web pages and mobile apps. Finally, Market-specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics round out the offerings by helping guide companies towards child-safe operation and rank among ASACP’s successes.
