Get Paid to Test Sex Toys!

AdorePassion is a Canadian sex toy retailer that is based in Downtown Toronto. Started in 2019, the company was founded by Jack Prenter, who comes with nearly a decade of experience in the eCommerce industry. Adore Passion wants to take a new approach to the sex toy industry, focused on satisfying the customer from the checkout, all the way to the bedroom.
Currently, the bulk of Adore Passions customers are in Canada, although they say that they are expanding into the United States already and plan to have a warehousing facility in the USA by the end of 2021. The retailer sells a wide variety of sex toys including vibrators, anal toys and BDSM and bondage equipment. They are considering onboarding lingerie and fetish gear in the coming months, but say that they are focused primarily on the sex toy market.
“Satisfying our customers is the number one priority and if that means re-shipping products, using more premium shipping couriers or manufacturing our own products to replace sub-standard ones, we will do that” says Prenter.
The company does not currently manufacture their own products but they’ve made it clear that they would be open to producing their own line if they could not find a quality alternative on the market. “Currently, there’s a wide-variety of great manufacturers like CalExotics and Doc Johnson, but we’re not opposed to manufacturing our own products, especially when it comes to electronic toys like wands or rabbit vibrators.”
Adore Passion uses the Shopify platform and Prenter says that technology and data is the key to their success. With an increasing percentage of sex toy sales happening online, more brick and mortar retailers will be forced to invest heavily into their online presence and technological solutions. “We have a clear advantage because we started online and have years of experience developing our own software. The internet is native to us” says Prenter.
“Part of why we want to hire a sex toy tester is to ensure that the products we’re buying from our manufacturing partners are amazing. If they aren’t, we’ll stop stocking them and look for alternatives. Our tester will be a key part of our product onboarding process.”
