George W. Bush Biopic to Feature “Porn Star” First Lady
LOS ANGELES, CA — If there’s a god, s/he is surely chuckling over infamous and award winning Hollywood director Oliver Stone’s latest casting decision concerning who will portray First Lady Laura Bush in his latest film biography – and possibly shedding a tear over the pathetic condition of mainstream film reporting.According to celebrity gossip sites Zap2It.com and TheCelebrityCafe.com, actress Elizabeth Banks will play a younger and prettier version of Laura Bush in the upcoming film, tentatively titled W.
Banks has apparently been granted a blemish on her otherwise sterling acting record, thanks to appearing in Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Although one of the primary sources for the information, The Hollywood Reporter, merely presented the news as it knows it, the gossip sites have given it a unique spin.
No longer is Banks an actress in motion pictures such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Spider-Man, Invincible and Slither, as well as television programs such as Scrubs. Now she is a “porn star” whose casting is a potential insult to the president and his wife.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the film will focus on the “wild younger days” of George W. Bush’s life, including his relationship with his father and “conversation to Christianity.” Bush will be played by Josh Brolin.
Stone, no fan of the Bush administration, has vowed to tell the tale of the president’s wild years in a fair and unbiased manner. In order to do so, the film’s script is said to be a collaboration between Stone and Wall Street screenplay writer Stanley Weiser – who has made no secret of his opposition to the Iraq war.
“I’m a dramatist who is interested in people,” Stone informed Entertainment Weekly. “And I have empathy for Bush as a human being, much the same way I did for Castro, Nixon, Jim Morrison, Jim Garrison, and Alexander the Great.”
Filming is projected to begin in April – either in Shreveport, LA or in Los Angeles… depending on which gossip site one prefers to doubt least. Banks will next be seen opposite Eddie Murphy in Meet Dave, and with Aaron Eckhard in Meet Bill. No announcements have been made indicating that either project is pornographic in nature.
