Gen Padova: Mythological Sex Creature
YNOT – In folklore, pixies are small, supernatural beings known for their curiosity and energetic mischief-making.
Gen Padova is a pixie. At only 4’11”, she’s more than a bit vertically challenged, but what she lacks in height she makes up for in attitude and stamina. Over the past decade, the 31-year-old Southern California native has performed in more than 300 scenes for a laundry list of adult studios. Her enthusiastic, playful performances have earned multiple XRCO and AVN awards nominations.
She blames her tendency to show up in so-called “extreme” scenes on the same insatiable curiosity that led her to pursue a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry and a bachelor of arts degree in visual arts, along with certifications in Pilates and Yoga. She also is a licensed massage therapist specializing in rehabilitative therapy.
And, thank goodness, she loves to talk.
YNOT.com: How did you get into the adult entertainment industry?
Gen Padova: I was just an innocent young girl next door with some major sexual curiosity. I started taking tons of suggestive photographs that progressed into pictures of tease and then to nude to masturbation pictures. All of these pictures were shared on my Yahoo! Group back in 1999 for a few years. This brought in a great number of fans to start off with, and then I built a free website similar to the Yahoo! Group. And I was still a virgin.
The website put me in contact with some photographers throughout the Los Angeles area who introduced me to adult modeling for various websites including Nude in Public. By 2000, I appeared in the first few movies masturbating for the world to see, and just three short months after losing my virginity, I did my first boy-girl sex scene. The rest became history!
What do you enjoy most about being an adult entertainer?
There are so many aspects that I enjoy about being an “adult entertainer.” I can be myself and turn people on. I can enhance the sex lives of couples and single people all over the world. I can be myself, not a character, by displaying my silly disposition and sexual cravings, even curiosities.
It’s super-awesome now, years later, to know that from the very day I turned 18 my sexual discoveries and experiences have been documented. Not many can go back and reminisce on those crazy moments with a clear picture. Being a natural exhibitionist leaves a sense of excitement even to this day. I’ve made so many fan-friends after so many years that I just couldn’t disappear into nothingness and be happy with that at all.
Social media seems like a natural fit for you. Is it?
Social media is most definitely the best way to keep in contact with my fans. The concept of being able to share anything I want about my day-to-day life, what my current and future plans are, even update them on latest events, appearances and updates to my website, etc., is just a brilliant convenience for me. I’ve often found it’s also easier for my fans to send me an inbox message from the click of a button.
I’m an open book and keep things positive and inspirational when updating everyone about what’s going on in my life. A touch of flirt and tease doesn’t hurt either.
Tell us about some of the most memorable moments in your career.
Before I started doing adult work, I gave a BJ a few times to my first and only boyfriend at the time. That was the entirety of my sexual experience when I started in the industry, so almost everything I’ve done on camera was my very first time. My first few girl-on-girl experiences were incredible. My first nude-in-public adventures were exciting. My first group sex with both multiple guys and girls was overwhelming and thrilling at the same time. My first anal as a double penetration was mind-bending and -blowing, and to experience double-vag[inal penetration] for the first time during all of that left me a bit speechless.
Knowing that I could do a gangbang with very well-endowed men and then go home at the end of the day with a shit-eating grin on my face like I conquered the world was pretty bad-ass. To fuck the living shit out of the guys in Meatholes without a single tear down my cheek but all giggles and begging for more was liberating. Discovering my never-ending fascination with piss play and getting off from the reaction of others will always be something I am not ashamed to admit enjoying. And then there’s the day I realized I survived the everlasting penetration of Mandingo, which left me feeling like I’d conquered the fucking world.
Your website is almost like a personal mission for you, isn’t it?
I built GenPadova.com myself. I maintain it myself. I update it myself. We celebrated our 10th anniversary in June.
Because you control every aspect of your site yourself, you’re free to do things other sites hesitate to attempt. What are some of the things you like best about GenPadova.com?
One of the greatest experiences so far has been offering a lifetime membership. My longest and most loyal fans pay a one-time fee for unlimited access that doesn’t expire. It takes the tension out of whether they can afford the next month or not.
I love the great feedback from my very personal blogs. When I started doing them I didn’t think many would have much of an interest in the details of my life, but it just happens to be one of the most popular features in the members section.
Where do you see your website going from here?
In the future I would love to be able to branch out more in the sense of having guest stars involved in my own self-produced videos that would be exclusive to the site. I’d also like to invite others to perform live cam shows. I’d love to really dive deep in all genres of sex and bring back the excitement porno had during the 1990s. Good, raw adult entertainment. I can’t wait to see how things unfold in the near and far future.
Where would you like to be in the next few years?
It would be nice to be inducted into a hall of fame before the next few years pass. I’ve been nominated a handful of times. I’ve even been nominated three years in a row for being an under-rated porn star. I know I don’t need an award to know who I am and what I am, but it would definitely be awesome to have at least something to symbolize my time and heart spent in a industry for this long being myself.
Normally I don’t make long-term goals because I find that’s a great set-up for disappointment, knowing that we can’t always control how things pan out in life. Going with the flow and taking one thing at a time while making little things happen here and there will amount to bigger things in the long run. It has been working out rather well for me so far, so I’m sticking to what works.
I do know that I and my website aren’t going anywhere. You’ll always find me there.
