Gaming Adult Looks to Repeat – and Build On – its Success
After winning the 2018 YNOT Award for Best Gaming Company, Gaming Adult is hoping that history repeats itself this year – or even improves on itself, because for the 2019 awards, the freemium game maker has been nominated in two categories, Best Gaming Company and Best Emerging Company.
“We worked hard and we won last year,” said Onizuka, Business Development Manager for Gaming Adult. “Since then we’ve improved our games, enlarged our team, increase the player base and we have two new games. We’ve put the effort. It’s time to reap the (rew)Award.”
Gaming Adult’s ascension has been both rapid and steady, driven by engaging games and the company’s clever approach to marketing them. The company’s two main games, Hentai Heroes and Gay Harem, are available on multiple online gaming platforms and have attracted over five million players in a little over two years on the market.
In February, Gaming Adult announced the addition of the first Hentai Heroes character based on a real person, fashioning an avatar after adult performer and Gaming Adult Brand Ambassador Sara Jay. Earlier this month, Sara was joined within the ‘Haremverse’ by popular cam girls SensualCherrin01 and HottyTEEN69. Gaming Adult also released “Hentai Clicker,” a simple incremental game in which players click and tap repeatedly to earn points and unlock new levels and content.
On the ‘cultural’ front, Gaming Adult has also committed to encouraging sex-positivity and inclusiveness in its games, emphasizing the need for its hentai games to give off “positive vibes” and to make players feel welcome and a sense of belonging, regardless of their background, sexuality or gender.
As the company’s success has grown, the team responsible for that success has expanded as well. Gaming Adult now employs over 50 artists, designers, IT people and “other random passionate people who want to create positive entertainment,” says Magrat, Account Manager for Gaming Adult.
Creativity, passion and positivity – combine them all together and what you get is a formula for success that’s both scalable and sustainable, Magrat says.
“Even though the company is still young, we have over 13 years of experience and we know how to create, publish and monetize games,” Magrat added. “We are here to influence our players to be more positive in their life by playing our games. And we plan on becoming one of the biggest independent gaming studios in Europe. So, don’t be surprised if you see us getting nominated again next year.”
